We did a virtual tour with this community and the staff was very nice and informative. I don't like the virtual tours but that is not the community's fault they did everything they could to give us the information needed and to show us the community safely.
Terrible work environment, and the treatment of the elderly is borderline abuse. Cowoerkers were extremely toxic, management was oftentimes unorganized and all over the place, and the residents were oftentimes not happy or satisfied at the nursing home. The meals were, a lot of times, extremely low quality as well. Overall, a very unorganized, poorly funded, mostly toxic institution.
They offer so much!! ♥️ even AA meetings 🙏🏼🥰
We visited Stow Glen Assisted Living and our visit was very good. The rooms were very nice and clean. They have a library, game room, and pastors come in, both Catholic and Protestant. It was nice, and the dining area was very nice.
I am very happy that we chose this community. The location is perfect its very close to me which makes it easy to take her to doctor appointments. So far she likes it there she said the food is good. She plays cards and bingo . I have found the property to be well maintened and clean and the staff seems to be friendly. I would definetely recommended this to anyone.
My wife was admitted on a ventilator with an irreversible coma. It was a difficult case, requiring constant care. Mary Sue rallied briefly and opened her eyes several times for visitors and nurses, but ultimately passed away after 3 months. Her care was excellent and I had a constructive dialog with staff as we looked at options.
We were not impressed with Stow Glen Assisted Living. The rooms were dismal, and some of them actually didn’t have a window. It was even worse than a hospital room. Each resident had an assigned seat at the dining room and was not allowed to sit anywhere else. It was right beside a skilled nursing place, and it smelled. Our tour was scheduled, but they didn’t know we were coming. They said that because too many people never showed up, they didn’t bother to look at the schedule anymore.
I only took a brief look at this community when I visited. The community seemed clean and the prices were comparable to the community we chose. This community is a little farther away than what we were looking for.
