The Commons of Providence is an absolutely beautiful senior living community. The pond area is so peaceful, and you feel welcomed the moment you step into any building. With all the great community events they host, we are very fortunate to have such a golden retirement option in Sandusky!
My Husband and myself have been residents in the Commons of Providence Independent Living Villas for almost one year. The warm reception from the Administration and the Residents have absolutely been wonderful. They treat us like we are family. We recently held a family reunion in the Community Room. A family member had a medical emergency. The Nurses Angel Wadsworth and Dawn Leigh promptly responded & took action until EMS arrived. My entire family was so impressed and thankful for their outstanding care & professionalism. We are so happy we have joined the Commons of Providence Community.

I can’t say enough good things about The Commons. The food is consistently excellent—fresh, flavorful, and something residents genuinely look forward to every day. Beyond that, the life enrichment programs are truly meaningful, offering a wide range of engaging activities that bring joy, purpose, and connection to residents’ lives. What stands out the most, though, is the staff and leadership. The team is incredibly caring, compassionate, and attentive, and the leadership is dedicated, hands-on, and genuinely invested in both residents and staff. You can feel the positive culture throughout the community.

As an outsider, my visit to The Commons left me utterly blown away! This isn't just a community; it's a vibrant, resort-like haven. From the stunning, modern aesthetics to the incredibly warm and engaging staff, everything radiates excellence. The energy is palpable – residents are clearly thriving, engaged, and genuinely happy. Impeccably clean, bursting with life, and truly a cut above the rest. My first impression was nothing short of astounding! You HAVE to see this place!
The staff at The Commons of Providence are incredibly welcoming and make both residents and families feel at ease from day one. The facility offers a variety of amenities. There are also regular events and activities that help create a strong sense of community and keep residents engaged. Overall, it’s a comfortable and supportive environment that promotes both independence and quality of life.
