First I want to thank the faculty for the warm greetings, and I know this occupation is not the easiest and requires compassion. However, my mother has been a client of this facility for several weeks and minimal progress has been made for her to regain independence with mobility. This rehab facility requires clients that are predominantly independent and need help with small task. The rooms are spacious, but little cleaning and disinfecting. Physical therapy is not in house so my mother was lucky to get one physical therapy session a day, when she should need two sessions. My sister went to…

My sister went to visit and it took over an hour for a stafff member to respond, I could only imagine if it was an emergency, or a fall. I left a voice mail for the case manager, and after three days I still have not got a call back. In all I hope this review is taken seriously because lives are a stake. I truly admire those who serve others, as I’m a retired combat veteran. But improvements need to made if this facility can live up to its image.

After being in an independent living facility I knew my health was going downhill. I researched several skilled nursing/long term facilities and found The Grand of Dublin. The admitting Director went above and beyond in order to see i had a nice place to go. He spent several hours making sure my move went smoothly. The people here are awesome and brighten my day. My room is amazing and the food is great.

The nurse who was the most helpful was Denise. She spent the weekend with me. Making sure I received my meds on time. She gave me a shower herself personally. Normally nurses leave that for the aides. My aide was a guy who was very nice but I didn't want him to give me a shower. This place is stunning an if Denise was the only person I had to deal with that would be an amazing experience. Unfortunately I had others that weren't as attentive. Denise definitely made up for it! Kuddos to you Denise for being on of the best nurses I've ever come in contact with! Thank you a million times over! I…

Kuddos to you Denise for being on of the best nurses I've ever come in contact with! Thank you a million times over! I wrote this review after being here for a couple of days. After spending more time I found that Erica (my nurse) my aide Summer were also PHENOMENAL as well. I had 2 other aides that were great too. I wish they were the only ones I had to deal with. One of the nurses was pregnant an I'm not sure of why but anything I needed her to do took an hour or more as if my room wasn't outside of the nurses station. I finally went to the door an asked her to come put my dressing on so I could go to bed. She SUCKED an so did most of them. The night before I left I had a nurse who was super kind. My aide that night was also kind she was the only one who would offer me snacks. I appreciated the small number of people that didnt mind helping me. My PT Emma I believe was her name was also kind. I'm thankful for their kindness and happy I was able to have those who were helpful to me. So I wanted to update my review!

My mother stayed here for about 4-5 weeks in Feb/Mar 2026. She stayed in their skilled nursing (SNF). She later stayed at Ohio Health Rehabilitation (OHR) on Sawmill. OHR was fabulous. Back to The Grand. First let's start with the good. This place has some people who seem to genuinely care: Susan (Nurse), Emmanual (Aid), Georgette (Social Worker) deserve call outs and we were always happy to see when they were working. Now the not so good. - The food here is terrible. My mom stayed at five different places during her recent health journey and the food here was by far the worst. Over half the time she did not get what she ordered. Twice she was given milk that was days past the due date, once being spoiled. It was brought to their attention the first time and they said it would never happen again and, guess what? It happened again. - Overall the employees here just don't seem very happy. In healthcare having employees who smile and have a cheery disposition can make a huge difference. - The lack of follow-through was noticeable. My mom would make a fairly straight-forward request or have a question and the worker would say they would get back to her, but many times never did. This wasn't a one-time occurrence, this happened frequently. - Each room has a sign from Danielle Batdorff, the Administrator. It essentially says to contact the staff with questions, but if your questions aren't answered to reach out to her. Per the above bullet, when follow-through wasn't happening, I reach out to Danielle and never heard back. - This experience presented our family a lot of opportunities to learn. We learned that understanding the criteria used to evaluate when someone will be discharged is a big deal. Our discharge meeting extremely disappointing. Although scheduled, some people from The Grand didn't show up. The head person (her name is Misty) in charge of the discharge indicated at the beginning of the meeting that she was in a hurry and when our family asked important questions, she didn't have good answers. She could not clearly articulate the discharge criteria/goals....which, by the way, should have been communicated to my mom and family well in advance. When I asked for a copy of the discharge criteria, Misty indicated we would have to submit a records request. It was odd in how uncaring our final meeting, and especially Misty, was. Overall, and especially with my mom having a very positive experience at another SNF (Ohio Health) I cannot recommend the Grand.

Super good meals and service. Staff is out of this world and would do anything for you. Nothing is ever perfect, so I can’t ever give 5 stars, but I am very impressed with The Grand. I would recommend The Grand to anyone looking for rehabilitation care. My mom was here in the past and loved the movie theater. My stay here has been phenomenal. Housekeeping was excellent. The therapy team has been so helpful. I absolutely wouldn’t have been able to get strong enough to go home without them. I was basically a paraplegic when I got here. I can walk now and will be able to get back to normal at home with my family. Thank you THE GRAND!

Staff is wonderful. I have had great experiences with both nurses and aides. Everyone here is trying to get me well!

Edit in response to The Grand's comment below: The administration of this facility was contacted over 8 times between April 3rd and April 10th. No one would return our phone calls and once corporate was involved, she hung up the phone on me. If you love your family member, do not take them here. Within 24 hours of being admitted, we made the decision to get our mom out of the facility as quickly as possible due to: danger, safety, negligence, and malpractice. She was ignored by her nurse for 8 hours during day 1. By day 2, administered a 2 hour dose of potent antibiotic in less than 10 minutes. Both my mom and sister, who was also present, can attest to this. They let her lay in her urine, aides refused care because they said they are "too busy" to see my mom, and they gave all the wrong medications and/or doses. Not a single medication during her stay was correct because no one verified her medical history and medications. They listed my mom with dementia and Alzheimer's despite her being alert and oriented. Ashley G. with corporate lied over the phone several times and then hung up the phone on me, after accusing me and my family and the patient of lying. Danielle (admin) and Ricci (Director of Nursing) refused to see my mother prior to discharge to discuss her horrendous and dangerous care. Upon obtaining medical records, we found out the nurses falsified charting and administration lied about the reason she was discharged on their paperwork. Ashley with corporate refused to correct falsified documents. There was zero accountability by anyone working there. Ashley is a PR puppet with zero compassion, and her lack of empathy and knowledge in the health field is reflected down to the facility and its uneducated, negligent staff. If you care about your family, never step foot in this facility.

We had the best day ever at the Grand of Dublin Easter Party for residents and family!Main Street was decorated to the hilt with filled easter eggs, prizes, fancy refreshments, live music, and an in-person visit from the Easter Bunny! Residents and families had an amazingly good time and we're all so grateful to the Grand for providing such a fun day.
