This seems to be a nice facility for disabled and elderly individuals. They have nice dining areas and the facility appears to be clean abundance well kept. The staff is kind and courteous. Overall this seems to be a decent place.
IAM sorry about your Loved ones but I had the worst experience at this place with my uncle yes he was mean because he wasn't in his right state of mind at his old age but because the way he was acting out this place treated him very bad the workers the clean or do whatever was stealing his candy, money etc so give it a very good consideration before you decide a very expensive place that is very greedy and ignorant in there own way IAM very honest and a nice person to meet and also pretty good on these Google reviews thank you and good luck
We are so grateful for The Inn at Glenellen and the care they provide for our loved one. She is so happy to be there! There are so many activities that keep her mind and body busy and thriving and the attitude and atmosphere that we experience whenever we encounter staff and residents is always positive.
My elderly parents moved into one of the villas here a couple of months ago and we all are thrilled with their new home. The unit has lots of natural light, spacious, and with everything on one floor. It is independent living, but lunch is included every day with good selection. Management has been very responsive to their needs and the maintenance man is also wonderful. It has been a great transition!
My mother recently toured your facility. She will never attend as long as I have anything to say about it (I am her daughter). She was told in order to take her 10 yr old cat with her she would need to put down a $1,000 deposit (acceptable) and also to have her declawed (absolutely unacceptable). I am a 21 yr veterinary technician and will tell you that what you are proposing to people and their cats is abhorrent and down right cruel. Declawing is removing the claw at the first joint, an amputation just like a finger at the first joint, which requires learning how to re-walk and some cats never recover...especially elderly cats. Also the most common side effect after this horrible procedure is litterbox avoidance which in turn would cause I’m sure much more damage to your precious carpets that you are trying to protect in the first place. This is because the litter feels painful on their tender feet and they associate this going forward. Many vets are refusing to perform this procedure and several states are passing laws to make it illegal (NY just did). Shame on you for having this in your contract and forcing these elderly folks to choose between causing extreme pain to their beloved family member or having to part with them by giving them to a family member. Even if my mother chose to give her cat to me, I will advocate for her to choose another facility. Another other facility.
My mom is at Glen Ellen. I cannot say enough about the nurses and aides at this nursing home. They are very concerned and loving for my mom who has dementia. However, the cleanliness of the room(severe ant problem, which has been brought to their attention many times in the past 6 weeks and continues), as well as vacuuming of carpets. Also, twin size sheets on a full size bed. The food in the dining room is limited at best, and there are two people trying to serve 40-50 people . They rotate serving tables so the same table does not get served last, because the food is cold by the time it is served. Understaffed . By the time the cart comes around for the soup, it is cold. Open bowls on a cart in a room right off the open doors of the main entrance.
Made the tour and was very impressed.
This was a mansion turned into assisted living. Three floors but the sitting rooms were gorgeous with grand pianos, etc. Kitchenettes were included in all the units and they are starting a Facebook page for families to see what was happeneing which was a nice feature.
