For the week I was there for rehab, it was a good stay. The rehab workers were great working with me.
Professional and nice staff. Would definitely recommend.
Look at these reviews, truly read them all. There's more bad than good reviews. NEVER....EVER, put your loved ones here.
As a healthcare provider who partners with the Laurels of Hilliard for the care of some residents, we truly appreciate their sense of collaboration and communication. The whole staff works together with outside providers and families to ensure the evolving needs of the residents are met and communicated clearly. They treat the residents as individuals and ensure their care is tailored to that individual. The culture they have created is uplifting and nurturing. They take care to make sure the residents, whether short term or long term, are engaged not only in their healthcare but also socially, truly creating a home-like environment.
I would not recommend this place at all! My dad was suppose to do rehab here after leaving the hospital so he could get stronger to come home, the complete opposite happened. Call lights would take over 30 minutes to answer, they didn't want to take the time to come in and help him to the bathroom so instead they just put depends on him. He developed a bed sore here and in turn got really infected to the point the hospital was shocked when we brought him in to have them check it out. Nurses are either way over staffed or just doesn't care enough and they do not give meds on time at all and sometimes even forgot. When you bring up concerns they say they will look into it but nothing was changed. It got to the point my siblings and I tried to rotate as much as we could so that someone was there at all times when allowed to make sure he got the bare minimum care needed
I don't have much data on this place. My grandma is being taken care of by them. She is 350 miles away. When I look at the reviews it is literally a love/hate relationship. Either a 5 or a 1. I gave it a 4. All I can say is I hope my Gma sits at a table with the 5 reviewers' family member. Place was clean, seemed organized and they have kept my grandma alive for nearly a year. I'm quite sure she couldn't have done that on her own! I only was able to visit once.
My mom had been here a number of years ago when she had her knee replacement surgery and the place was great. Now it's terrible. After being in the hospital for 1 1/2 weeks with severe breathing issues these people didn't even give her any of her medication for the first 24 hrs until I showed up and got action. This is a diabetic with COPD, heart and kidney issues. No PT on day 1 either. Most of the staff doesn't care about the people. The food was so bad I brought in some yogurt and string cheese. They have a fridge for patients. But half way through they through it away. Look else where.
My grandmother who was 88 and can't move around on her own, was in to help heal a broke pelvis. All they did was give her NARCANE (a very heavy drug used in meth and cocaine, etc) they never ONCE moved her to keep the hard medicine moving, NOR did her physical therapy to help her heal the break. Causing her to be dehydrated to the point she needed to be hospitalized, with NO movement whatsoever, etc. Further causing her to pass not even a week later. Growing up in Hilliard I saw patients trying to escape in multiple occasions, therefore i was already scepticle on how they would treat her, i was not surprise
