Horrible care of my father throughout his stay in acute rehab. Developed pressure ulcers and at discharge nothing was swnt home in regards to medications and dressings for his wounds. Called and spoke to a Stacy who was a Supervisor and she stated his discharge medications would be sent to his CVS and they NEVER called them in for him. If I could give zero stars, I would!! Do NOT send any loved ones to this establishment!!

You won't find a more caring staff in any other facility. Each department works together to watch over your loved ones. Delicious food too!

They are currently fighting Bed Bugs for the 2nd time in 6 months due to not being taken care of right the first time. The front desk lady bev can be very rude at times, the activities department are great people. The kitchen department cant get enough workers so I often helped them out. The maintenance team is massively underpaid. Everyone recently got a raise but they got nothing. Housekeeping is over worked and are required to do way more than what they get paid for. The nurses aids are good and doing the best they can do while being under staffed as well. Dora in laundry is a very hard…

Maddy and Alex from the kitchen are kind and great workers. Andy, Shannon, Terrell, all the cooks do a great job as well. All the residence are nice and very caring.

I have been here at the Lodge since 2017. I love it here. I have great coworkers who share the same compassion and drive that I have to show up and do our best every day for our residents. We have such a great group of residents that we care for. They often let me know that they love it here and love the care that they receive. I hear it often from family members that are so grateful they made the decision to move their loved ones here. Knowing that we make a difference keeps me motivated to show up and give it my all for not just the residents in our care but also for the coworkers that I work in tandem with everyday.

My general observations of the staff and facility would include: The staff are very helpful and supportive of the residents in the public spaces. The activities programming is good and the residents are very friendly and seem happy. The residents and staff are friendly, the facility is clean w/o a bad odor like some facilities, the staff is attentive and helpful, the food is good (in my judgment), there are plenty of activities and outside groups brought in to entertain the elderly (our church choir that I was a member of use to perform there often) and the cost are comparable to other facilities in area.

Trash!!! The front desk is rude to visitors. I recently visited my loved ones, and witnessed elder abuse! "What's your problem, lady!!??" an employee yelled at a demented resident. Per the health department, there are mice living in the kitchen! My loved ones are paying $4k/mo to live here for what!!!???

Most of the vegetables are hard and aren't cooked long enough for the residence to chew them. Most of them have false teeth or missing teeth, so soft veggies would probably be eaten more often if they were cooked a bit longer. More on the matter shy side. It would also be nice if the food could be spiced with powdered garlic, onion powder and pepper to add more flavor without causing blood pressure to rise, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They seem to try very hard, and they know most residents by name! The atrium area is very nice, and a lovely place to sit and relax after dinner with friends. It's a safe place, with someone at the front desk 24-7. When my mother calls me at night not feeling well, I can call in to notify them and they check on her immediately and get back to me about her. Also, if she doesn't go down for dinner they call and check on her or send someone to her apartment. Overall, I feel that The Lodge is a really great place for people to enjoy the rest of their lives.

I want to extend my highest praise and appreciation to The Lodge Retirement Community and to Each and Every one of its staff members. From the cleaning staff to the food service staff, the healthcare staff, managers, transportation … basically everyone, all the way up to the owners; each and every one of you are absolutely fantastic people. I came here to meet and visit with my father, who I have not seen in about 32 years. We have been talking on the phone for the last few years, and I was finally able to make the trip from Southern Oregon to your beautiful facility. I was instantly impressed as I walked through the front door and met a smiling face at the front desk. Your facility was immaculately clean and fresh smelling. (Please forgive me for not mentioning any names, because I am extremely horrible with names, and I met so many of you this week…so whether I had the pleasure of meeting you while I was there, or not, please know I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with each of you. ).The first thing I noticed about all of you was your oversized hearts. Watching your interactions with the residents made my heart smile. Your professionalism stood out most, along with the love and compassion you have for the the seniors who call this place “home”. When it came to your interactions with myself, I am not lying, all of you made me feel like I was “The Celebrity” that every celebrity wants to get to know. You treated my father and I like we were royalty, and you were a huge part of helping my week-long visit become the success that it was. The meals you prepared were high dollar quality restaurant style meals; very delicious and nutritious. I honestly cannot say enough good about the entire staff… it truly does take a well trained, well dedicated and well chosen staff to make The Lodge operate and become the success it has become. THANK YOU ALL! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for sharing your love, your compassion, your skills and your smile with the residents and the guests who step foot into your place of employment. I ask that you all pat yourselves on the back for a continued job well done…each of you totally deserve it. I am forever grateful for all that you do. The labor of love you do on a daily basis goes above and beyond the call of duty, and it does not go unnoticed. In my interactions with many of the residents, I could fell the adoration and appreciation that they have for you, the staff… and that speaks volumes better than what I could ever say, because they live their life there with you daily, and I have only had a week to meet you and base my decisions on. Blessings and appreciation from the son of one of your residents. I can head back home knowing my dad, and every resident there, are in the very best hands, with the most caring and patient staff watching over them like extended family members. You’ll never know the peace of mind that brings to me. There is a special place in Heaven for those who care for the elderly and those who cannot care for themselves. I look forward to a return visit in the future. Sincerely J Peltier
