Very, very poor communication and no consideration or concern for family members and keeping all parties in the loop with their loved one's condition. The inability to reach residents because the NF doesn't provide land lines in the rooms is a HUGE gap in care ,especially for the family who lives out of town. I may call the state ombudsman 's program due to other concerns and issues. Unfortunately, my mother was in long term care for a short time at VanCrest. She started to decline the night prior to her passing per the nurse that called me the next morning, and no family was called until it…
Very, very poor communication and no consideration or concern for family members and keeping all parties in the loop with their loved one's condition. She started to decline the night prior to her passing per the nurse that called me the next morning, and no family was called until it was too late. My mother reportedly fell out of her wheelchair per report of the nurse who called me stating " we took your mom to the bathroom and put her in the wheelchair, and when we went to check on her, she must have slipped out of the wheelchair and fell onto the floor and was unconscious laying on her side, so we decided to put her back onto the bed" My mom was private pay and for 9 thousand dollars a month, they provided sub-par care. AND NOT EVEN AN EMAIL OF CONDOLENCES FROM THE FACILITY. Cannot recommend at all. Laura Silette Ferrero
The VanCrest phone system is poor, and it’s very difficult to reach a patient/loved one, particularly in assisted living section. No staff answers the phone calls and you’re forced to leave voicemails that are never returned. This isolates patients from communicating with their family members.

Vancrest Assisted Living is a nursing home I am very familiar with. I have a family member who is a resident here and my family and I visit her often. Their grounds and facilities are very well kept. The inside is spacious and has personal rooms, a cafeteria, and many rooms for activities. There are several open areas for games or visiting, a chapel room, and other rooms for meeting, watching communal television and other visiting type activities. The nurses who work at Vancrest are extremely skilled at their jobs. They meet every resident with a smile and are always around to help with anything one could need. My grandmother has met many friends here and been able to enjoy a social life even while being sometimes bedridden. Vancrest often has people from the community come out. Children from the elementary, middle, and high school, people from salons, restaurants, stores and other respected spots come to Vancrest . My family and I have always been very happy with all the service we have received from Vacrest Assisted Living.
