My mom lived at Victoria House for 13 years before she passed—10 years in assisted living and 3 years in the memory care unit. When my family and I first began looking for an assisted living facility for her, we visited many places. From the moment we walked through the door at Victoria House, we knew we had found the right place (we even had someone stop us to say that her mom had been there for 5 years, ask her anything). It felt like home, and that feeling came from the care and kindness shown by everyone there—the director, activities staff, nurses, aides, and so many others. Victoria…

It felt like home, and that feeling came from the care and kindness shown by everyone there—the director, activities staff, nurses, aides, and so many others. Victoria House truly feels like a family, and the residents can feel that. I have recommended this facility to several friends, and some brought their moms here as well. We all recognized how blessed we were to have found such a wonderful, caring, and safe place for our moms. Also, these 'reviews' with one star...they don't make any sense at all. I suspect these are people who are asked to write negative reviews.
The staff is professional, yet so caring and attentive!
Will never let another relative live there again. Bad customer service from the people answering phones, to the cleanliness of the rooms!! $5,000 a month to live there, no way!! Put your family member in a better place, you will be glad you did.
Nice facility. They are taking very good care of my grandmother.
We toured Victoria House. It was very clean. The staff there was very helpful and very attentive to my mother's needs, and everything that we saw, the size of the room, the dining area, and everything, was kept up very well. We dealt with the administrator, we didn't have any other interaction with other staff members. The overall upkeep of the exterior and the convenient layout of the interior are not overly big. In one of the places we did go to, my mom felt that she would get confused about where she was. It was so big, so she didn't want to go to that one. So the smaller size and everything made her feel a lot more comfortable wanting to go there.
The dementia ward just locks them in a section and unless you ask for something for the patient they are totally left on their own. The onlycare they seem to get is they cannot wander out of the facility. They told me the patient did not eat enough. I could bring them food when I come up but other than that how can I fix this problem they should find out to what she likes and prepare that for her..
Amazing place to work
My father-in-law was at Victoria House. The short time he was there, they seemed very caring. The staff was very good with him. The facility was very clean and neat, and we felt comfortable with it. We were pleased with them. When we talked to them about different issues, they were very accommodating and caring.
