Avon Place has some great, caring staff, from management to floor staff. I love the weekly appreciation days they do for staff and residents. Fried Oreos, dirty soda bar, strawberry shortcake bar, cookouts and so much more. I personally love these events that bring the residents and staff together to enjoy!
My family has had a wonderful experience with Avon Place Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. The staff consistently provides compassionate, high-quality care while treating residents with dignity and respect. The nurses are professional, attentive, and genuinely care about the well-being of those they serve. The administrative team has also been exceptional. They are always available to answer questions, address concerns, and make sure families feel informed and supported throughout the process. Knowing there is a dedicated team that truly cares provides great peace of mind. Thank you to…

Very nice facility with great management!
This place is awful! My grandmother was being abused there when she went in for rehab after getting very sick. They WILL NOT speak to you on the phone. They wouldn’t let us see her (granted it was during Covid) and they would leave her in her own feces and urine for HOURS and when she would ask them to turn her cause she was uncomfortable they they would throw a blanket at her and tell her they just flipped her and to figure it out. This is an absolute horrendous place! DO NOT do that to your loved ones.
A very dear family member was there for 2.5 days for rehab from a stroke. He was not treated well at all!!! Left lying flat for hours and wasn’t supposed to be lower than 45 degrees due to a feed tube because he couldn’t swallow due to the stroke, he wasn’t turned and resulted in the reddest bottom ever, nurse had auditory to say he came in with it! Which he did not l!!!! photo proof as his wife watched everything very carefully!!! He called asked her to get help he was in trouble, she arrived the nurse said his vitals are normal which they may have been but he was having issues breathing, seeing double etc, nurse was asked to call ambulance she stated they can’t come til tomorrow…. His wife had to call 911 got him to ER to find out he had a clot in the brain, and contracted Legionaries Disease from the Avon Place facilities, ER docs knew exactly where it came from and sadly my friend passed New years Day from this horrible treatment and the legionaries he caught at Avon Place. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVE ONE THERE!!! There are 91 patients currently there and they don’t get treated well at all praying they didn’t get this disease either!! I wouldn’t even take my dog let alone my worst enemy there to be cared for!
They released a patient who is 75 and disabled to his car, knowing full well he did not have anywhere to go! 😡 if I could I would not even add a star.
