My Dad was recently at The Oaks for rehab after a mild stroke and a fall. He broke his clavicle and 3 ribs. The staff at The Oaks were phenomenal with his care and therapy. They treated him with love and respect while he was healing. Everyone was kind and helpful always going the extra mile to accommodate our family. We appreciate everyone there!!!!
Oak’s deserve zero stars My mother couldn’t speak. They put her in the very last room away from the nurses station barely changed her to the point where she got a bit sore that you could stick your fist in and then used her picture against my knowledge in a book for STNA learning purposes to teach you how bad a bear so I can get this place disgust me they stole from her and made my mother’s last days awful I would not recommend you. Send your parent here unless you want them to die plain and simple.
If your love one is mentally sound and somewhat physically stable then I would say it's okay for a short stay..Don't put your love one in this facility if their cognitive functions have deminshed and mobility is off..I would avoid this place at all cost! The whole establishment needs a do- over! I had over a month to see how they operate and it's very below average! They need to have an investigator out to see the unsanitary conditions along with delayed care. Read the other complaints..They absolutely ignore the call lights especially at night. Very unprofessional staff from top to bottom.…

Our family has had experiences over the last 9 months with several different skilled nursing facilities. We found the Oaks of Brecksville to be our best one - the staff was compassionate, friendly and really took care of the residents. We were included in the rehab planning and updated frequently about our loved one's condition and progress. This facility is extremely clean and has an overall happy atmosphere. While I hope we won't need to utilize one again anytime soon, I know where we'll go back to if need be.
My grandpa has only declined since being here. This place is horrible. He was left in a dirty diaper overnight, and when I brought it up to his aide, Jamia, I was brushed off and had to go find a nurse myself. The whole facility feels completely disorganized and upside down. I will be removing my grandpa after also finding out the nursing director, Natchelle dresses unprofessional and is involved in managing her daughter, who happened to be his aide.
Amazing place
I recently had a rehab stay at The Oaks of Brecksville following a hip fracture, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. From the start, the staff made a difficult situation much easier. The nursing team was attentive, responsive, and always treated me with kindness and respect. They stayed on top of pain management and made sure I was comfortable while healing. The therapy team was outstanding. Physical and occupational therapy pushed me in the best way possible, helping me regain strength and mobility safely. They were encouraging, knowledgeable, and truly invested in my progress, which made a huge difference in my recovery. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere felt supportive and positive. I also appreciated the communication—staff kept me informed and included in my care plan every step of the way. Thanks to the team at The Oaks of Brecksville, I was able to return home stronger and more confident. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing short-term rehab, especially after something as serious as a hip fracture.
From the moment we chose this rehab facility for my dad it has been nothing but good communication with any concerns we have had. We were greeted within 5 minutes of arriving to facility by his nurse and two aides. Any requests we asked for they were handled quickly and appropriately. The food was excellent and great to have options to eat in the dining room which helped provide the socialization he desperately needed. My dad had a recent stroke and was at this facility for almost 6 weeks. We did not think he would make so much progress. The therapy team has been amazing and so supportive. I am so grateful for the nurses and aides who provided such good care. We are so lucky to have had such a good experience and we will be recommending this facility to friends and family in the future . They did an amazing Christmas event and my father was so touched by it, it felt like his home away from home and that really says how much they care.
