3.2 · 57 reviewsI am Sandye Norris Haynesworth and I reside in the Rehab house. I am alive today because of the Nurse Summer. She acted quickly and was able to diagnose that I was exhibiting seizure symptoms. I was non-responsive and moments away from tragedy. I spent several days in the hospital where I had to be revived. She literally saved my life. Summer and the rest of the staff are attentive, knowledgeable and passionate about their work. I will highly recommend Otterbein to anyone. The homelike atmosphere is conducive to healing. Thank you 😊 Summer and staff.
My Father spent 5 days in the Otterbein Senior Life Neighborhood last week as part of a respite visit. The small building, or cottage, that he was in was very nice and very new. Every member of the staff that I encountered was incredibly nice and caring. This didn't feel like the other facilities that I have visited, it felt like a home.
My mom was there for 5 days respite care. Meds not given correctly, fall risk measures not taken into action. Depends not changed in the morning came home soaked in urine. Meal menu not provided after 3 request was told I had to speak with dietician which wasn't on duty. All Meds not returned home upon discharge. Staff claimed they did not know patient was being discharged when I showed up that morning to pack up her belongings. Transportation had to wait almost an hour after scheduled discharge time to bring her home. Communication was horrible, staff hard to find in facility. Gave them…

Gave them patient's normal everyday schedule along with likes and dislike all disregarded. Activities scheduled seemed non-existent. Was told patient will be checked on every 2 hours, no-one checked in when I was there for 6 hours.

Very caring group of people. A lot of activity during the day. Night time vibe is a bit different. Not as friendly and a bit lazy.
I was here for rehab, the environment is calm, very friendly staff, rooms are beautiful, and I also enjoyed the meals, they are home cooked
My husband is in Otterbein Senior Life Neighborhood in New Albany. receiving rehabilitation from two surgeries and two hospital stays. What a pleasant surprise to find a rehab center that tries its best to simulate home. It is fashioned after a home with an open kitchen and sitting area and separate homes like a neighborhood. Amenities such as menu flexibility and large bathrooms and showers in each room, add to making it as comfortable as possible. The staff and caretakers have made a difficult time in our lives more tolerable and hopeful. I know every day he is getting the best of care so he can come home. I would recommend this rehabilitation facility to anyone.
