Rittenhouse Village Gahanna

The Rittenhouse has been a Godsend for my 93 y/o mother. The staff has been like an extended family for her. Everyone there goes beyond the call of duty making sure all the residents have a clean, well maintained and beautiful place to live. Shannon the manager works 24/7 making sure every department is functioning at its highest capacity. Shannon has always made herself available whenever there is a need. I've even been able to contact her on her off days. She even responded to my calls when she was off sick. I've never seen someone so dedicated to making sure the Rittenhouse is well managed! Shannon knows all the residents by name and even does things out of her job description to make sure everyone is safe and well taken care of. The Rittenhouse is lucky to have such a dedicated manager. You can tell she truly loves her job. I would highly recommend the Rittenhouse to anyone who is looking for an independent living facility that is well managed, clean, beautiful and feels like home!

We toured Rittenhouse Village Gahanna. The staff and the residents are friendly. There's an open dining area. It seemed like there were activities that were going on. We did like the facilities. I did like the walk-in shower which is for people with mobility issues, they're going to need walk-in showers, and things like that. The room seemed to be big enough and brightly lit. They'd just come out for the activities. They can come out and be social. They can go on field trips. They can come out three times a day and get meals. It's not a new facility. They said that they were going to be pulling up work or doing some renovation. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I like how she followed up to see if we needed anything or had any questions, and I think that's good. It looks like she valued our business. She seemed to know the resident's name.

House keepers never showed up to clean my room for 2 weeks till now I’m paying $2200 a month to be here and been neglected. Housekeepers were supposed to come up here once in a week and nobody showed up for 2 weeks now. I already filed a complaint of the state of Ohio so they might be able to do something their manager here is a pain in the ass he just come up here beaching at me because I complain that the housekeepers didn’t come to my room. I don’t like their service here at all. I would advice people thinking about coming here to reconsider and go to a better place..

Rittenhouse Village Gahanna was a beautiful place but the people weren't that friendly. I don't know if the lady who showed me the place was too busy. She didn't take me to the office and sit down with me. She did everything out in the common area. She just showed me some places and then gave me a packet. They were all very busy. It was a very busy day that day. The facility was pretty nice. They had a little bit of everything. They had a little library. They had a lot of things to do there. The facilities were clean. The rooms were nice.

We recently experienced a traumatic event with my best friends grandma she been staying here for a few months and thought it was a nice place because of the awesome reviews WELL she got injured on a Friday and NO ONE checked on her ALLLL weekend and we found her Monday laid out on the floor that is not a way someone wants to find their family member they DEFINITELY need better staff and to do more check in hadn’t they gotten there any later whose knows would could of happen!!
